12:51 pm EXCUSE ME?! Exactly HOW was I supposed to have TWO weeks to pick someone on my own to marry instead of being assigned to someone? It's not like I live and breathe in the wizarding world. Not that I can honestly complain about being assigned to Michael, as he is one of the few men I actually know, but it's the principle of the matter.
Oh, Merlin, what am I going to do?

10:13 am I have spent the last four years trying to assert my independence from people telling me what to do, only to have the Ministry tell me what to do. Honestly, that’s not fair in the least! I’m a grown woman who is perfectly capable of making her own decisions. If I haven’t chosen to marry someone, then there is a perfectly good reason why. I don’t understand what’s so wrong with marrying a Muggle, anyway! All pureblood families are related in some way, and what does it matter if someone is pureblood or not? The magical levels are the same. Didn’t we just fight in a war to give people equal rights? What if I wanted my children to grow up in both worlds, like I did?
There are many cultures in this world to experience, and there’s no reason to keep it at only one culture. Isn’t there some way we can boycott this? Will be go to Azkaban if we don’t follow through with this? There are cultures that have fought for ages to get independence from arranged marriages, and here wizards are, wanting TO be in arranged marriages. How backwards is that? For some reason I had assumed that we are in the year 2002, but I guess I was wrong.
With one marriage decree, we are getting rid of the entire Muggle world. A world that I happen to live in with my Mum, who is a Muggle. Everyone, look at the nearest witch or wizard next to you. Congratulations. If you aren't related to them already, you will be soon. Our generation: Marry someone who has magic. Generation Two: Marry someone who has magic. Generation Three, Four, Five, and on if the other Minister's agree with this: Marry someone who has magic. There aren't that many of us in the Wizarding world. Isn't that a BIT more of a problem than just marrying someone you don't like? That happens all the time, even when you supposedly "love" the person.
